Start with the control you have
Some AC units receive commands from an infrared handheld remote. Others use a wired wall thermostat connected to a fan coil unit or another control system. These need different assessments.
Infrared control
A compatible IR controller sends commands similar to an existing infrared remote. Supported modes and reliable placement must be checked for the actual AC model. An IR controller is not a universal replacement for a wired thermostat.
Wired thermostat or FCU integration
Wired control requires qualified assessment of the equipment, electrical supply, fan speeds, valve/control signals and manufacturer requirements. A visually similar thermostat is not proof of compatibility.
Typical scope and exclusions
The proposal identifies the verified control method, devices, configuration and commissioning. AC repairs, refrigerant work, new ducting, mechanical modifications and building-system integration are excluded unless separately agreed.
What should I send?
Share the visible AC and controller model numbers, whether you use a remote or wall thermostat, and the functions you want. Do not open live covers. For a rental property, check permissions before work.
Does this guarantee lower bills?
No. Controls may help you adjust usage, but results depend on weather, occupancy, equipment and settings. No fixed saving is promised.
